“Cookware cityscape”…

Then there’s this women who I met at a a crafts fair in Israel, twice actually, who makes things from plastic bags.  It seems like pretty standard recycling, but she puts together bags with all different themes and jokes…

    I LIKE THESE!

    however i cant see the plastic bag work as well as i can see the city-scapes. ( although i also like the photograph itself it has an interesting array of colors that frame the woman.

    BUT I L<3VE the cityscape;it doesnt change the material itself- and yet as a cohesive piece totally transforms the object. I think that that approach is highly imaginative, it's almost to easy to melt the metal, shred it, weld it. This piece appreciates the already existing qualities of the cookware and couples it with imagination to reveal a potential that was already there but had not yet been manifested. once again i love this
